Thanks for choosing South Duff as your next home! After move-in, you’ll need to set up your utilities. To learn how, check out these frequently asked questions.

What utilities do I need to put into my name?
  • Electric/Water/Sewer - call the City of Ames at 515-239-5120
  • Gas - call Alliant Energy at 1-800-255-4268
We ask that one resident in each unit get utilities in their name starting on their lease move in date.

High-speed internet is provided to all residents free of charge! Each bedroom has an internet jack and you will need an Ethernet cord to access the internet.

The first time you log in, you will be required to enter a username and password. Please read over the document from Internet Consulting Services (ICS) or V5 Ethernet to assist with your connection.

If your internet is not working properly, or you have questions regarding service or upgrades, please contact Internet Consulting Services at 515-232-4453.

How do I hook up my TV to cable?

Dish Network cable is provided to all residents. Each bedroom and the common area have a cable jack and you will need a cable cord to access the channels.

Once you plug in your television, please be sure to run a channel scan. If your cable is not working properly, or you have questions regarding your cable service, please contact Internet Consulting Services (ICS) at 515-232-4453.

PLEASE NOTE: If your television is not receiving the cable channels after running the channel scan, your television may not have a QAM Tuner. If this is the case, you would be required to buy a QAM Tuner box through ICS for a onetime fee of $50 to access the Dish Network channels.
